Clamping

The clamping process entails attaching each side of the injection mould to the injection moulding machine. While the liquid resin material is injected into the mould cavities, the motorized clamping device presses the mould halves together and applies enough force to keep the mould securely closed.

Injection

The injection unit advances the material toward the mould through the injection moulding press when the raw material is injected. Raw resin material melts during the advancement process because of heat and pressure. Utilizing a buildup of pressure packs, the injection unit transfers molten plastic into the mould cavities.

Cooling

The molten plastic will solidify into the part's shape upon cooling inside the mould chambers. As soon as it touches the internal mould surfaces, cooling inside the mould starts. The mould will release once the necessary cooling period has passed. Manufacturers of resin raw materials offer suggestions for setting the temperature of the injection mould.

Ejection

Once the necessary amount of time has passed for the part to cool, ejection happens. When the clamping unit opens, an ejection mechanism forces the product or parts out of the injection mould. The component contracts and sticks to the mould cavities during cooling, necessitating force to force the part out of the mould.
